Wireless Personal
Pendant System

Circle-of-Safety™

Many universities, corporate and medical campuses are within close proximity of high-crime areas. In today’s society both men and women can find themselves in a position of being fearful for their safety. Industry leaders say the situation in schools and colleges is now so dire that they have become one of the top three security markets in the USA.

The Concept
Code Blue Corporation and Active Control Technology Inc. (ACT) have now developed a new wireless personal pendant system for campus environments.

How it Works
Code Blue’s existing enclosure contains an emergency telephone, blue beacon and strobe. In the event of an on-campus security incident, a student activates the phone to speak to a central security officer, trigger an alarm, activate a flashing blue strobe and dispatch security personnel. Emergency phones are typically located in areas where added security is required such as parking lots and pathways.

ACT’s wireless personal pendant system integrates with the Code Blue system. The new system permits students to remotely trigger the Code Blue phone and strobe from up to 200 feet away with a small hand-held pendant. This enables campus security to locate and respond to the signal. The pendant signal identifies the student, links to his or her security file, and displays any special medical or security issues needed by security personnel. Product Sheet in Acorbat PDF Format
