There is no method by which people can communicate more effectively and quickly than by the use of the spoken language. In an emergency situation, quick and effective communication becomes a life and death matter.

This is why Code Blue uses interactive voice as the backbone of all its security system solutions. Interactive voice provides security personnel with the fastest possible method of identifying and verifying an emergency situation and the ability to respond accordingly.

Interactive voice provides the patrons with the ability to gain tangible, interactive feedback in a crisis situation. Panic buttons, alarms and CCTV security methods by themselves cannot offer instant verification of an emergency situation in the way that only interactive voice can.

Providing security to customers and patrons of an institution is no easy task. There are two methods of security:

1) reactive/inconspicuous and
2) active/highly visible.

Reactive security, via such methods as stand alone CCTV cameras, may document criminal activity but is often inconspicuous and rarely completely deters such activities.

Highly visible security methods such as security personnel and prominently located interactive communication/security systems put the control in the hands of the patrons and instills an awareness of safety.

The addition of these highly visible security measures makes a statement to both the institution's patrons about the importance of their safety and security while it lets the would-be criminal know that the area is well secured.

Code Blue's product philosophy is based on the belief that no security system is complete without interactive voice capability. Without the ability to support a two-way conversation between security personnel and patrons, the security staff is placed in the position of making judgments about an event without the benefit of confirmation or explanation from the patron or potential victim.

As a result of this strongly held belief, interactive voice is the cornerstone of all Code Blue products. However, if interactive voice is incapable of integrating seamlessly with existing security methods, their presence may be more of a hindrance. Recognizing this, Code Blue has taken steps to "close the loop" with its systems, allowing for integration with other security technologies and providing key elements necessary to make Code Blue systems truly effective.
